Terms & Conditions

Using Benton County Released Inmates means agreeing to these terms and all applicable laws. If you do not accept them, do not use the site or its tools.

Benton County Released Inmates is privately owned and is not affiliated with any government, sheriff, jail, or corrections agency. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers credit, employment, insurance, tenant-screening, or other FCRA-covered services. The site is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

This is a private reference service with no authority over Benton County Jail, the Sheriff, Minnesota corrections, courts, or federal agencies. It stores no official inmate or release record and cannot confirm custody, release anyone, or file a document.

Its pages point to official Benton County and Minnesota record sources and may connect a visitor to third-party research tools.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use must remain lawful and must not interfere with other visitors or the service.

  • Do not violate a law or legal order.
  • Do not stalk, threaten, harass, or harm another person.
  • Do not base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on site information.
  • Do not seek unauthorized access to an account, server, or record.
  • Do not run bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.
  • Do not disrupt the site or burden its systems.

No Consumer Reports

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It provides no background check, credit report, consumer report, or screening service, and neither do its advertising partners. By using it, you agree not to use its information for:

  • Hiring, firing, or another employment decision
  • Tenant selection, leasing, or housing eligibility
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Outside Links and Services

Links may lead to Sheriff and corrections sites, courts, release records, legal-aid pages, federal locators, or commercial search providers. A link is not an endorsement. This site does not control an outside service's content, availability, security, pricing, or data practices. Review that service's terms before using it.

No Promises or Warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that information will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that a partner search will be comprehensive.

Custody and court records change often. Nothing displayed here is an official statement from Benton County, a sheriff, a court, or a corrections agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent Minnesota law allows, the site's owners, contributors, and partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access, use, inability to use, reliance on content, or use of an outside link.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use, misuse, or breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Original text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Benton County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, or modified without written permission, except where law permits.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revision takes effect when the new version is posted, and later use is subject to that version.

Ending or Restricting Access

Access may be suspended, limited, or ended at any time and without prior notice, including when use threatens the service or violates these terms.

Minnesota Governing Law

Minnesota law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Minnesota.

Severability of Terms

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, it will be adjusted only as much as needed, and the remaining provisions will stay in effect.
